We offer a range of services to help bring your project to life. Whether contemporary or traditional in design, every build is carefully crafted to connect with its surroundings and create a thoughtful, functional living space.

Timber Frames Only

The timber frame lies at the heart of all our projects. As a renewable, low-carbon material with exceptional structural and aesthetic qualities, oak allows us to create buildings that are environmentally responsible while also rich in warmth, beauty, and character. Using traditional joinery techniques, each oak frame is hand crafted to create timeless structures designed to endure for generations.

We can build any frame to suit your needs, from a whole house to an extension, porch, garage or cabin. Once your groundworks teams have created the footings for the frame we will bring the frame to site and raise it ready for your builders to continue the project.

Whole Builds

We love nothing more than working on a whole build. Using our own diverse skill set and a network of local experts we can undertake all aspects of a project from laying the groundworks to plastering, adding fixtures and fitting and installing your kitchen and bathroom. Undertaking the whole build allows us to ensure the quality of craftsmanship is maintained throughout the project and the whole building is built to the same exacting standards as our timber frames.

Joinery

Doors, windows, and staircases play a key role in shaping both the functionality and character of a building. Beyond their practical purpose, these elements influence the atmosphere, flow, and overall feel of a space. We design and craft bespoke joinery tailored specifically to the style, structure, and architectural character of each project, ensuring every detail contributes to the overall aesthetic. Every piece of joinery is individually hand made to fit seamlessly within the building, combining functionality, craftsmanship, and timeless design.

Planning and Design

While our timber framing craftsmanship is rooted in traditional techniques, our design process embraces modern technology. Combining a deep understanding of traditional construction with advanced 3D modelling, we can design frames tailored to each client’s lifestyle, vision, and practical needs. We can work with you and where necessary with architects and structural engineers to ensure your new build is both structurally strong and beautiful. If you already have an architect and a design, we can work with them to plan your frame around their designs.

Project Management

When taking on whole build projects we can offer a project management service, co-ordinating the build so you don’t have to. We have a large network of trusted contractors we work with to deliver the project on time and to an exceptionally high standard. We will deal with official figures such as structural engineers to make sure your building is as safe as it is beautiful. Where projects have a historical significance and extra care is needed, we will work closely with conservation officers to make sure the right materials and techniques are used to do justice to the building’s history.

Difficult Sites

Our surrounding hills, waterways and tiny lanes can make potential building sites quite difficult to access and build on. We are willing to take on complicated projects that others may shy away from, having experience of working on unconventional and challenging sites. We have worked with structural engineers to create complicated retaining walls, repaired historic frames that had rotted through and managed sites too steep for vehicles to access. It may mean a build will take longer to complete but with careful planning and our years of experience we can help you find a solution to the trickiest of projects.
